Phil Dunn's Tours have been operating since 2001, but in saying that the Dunn family have been in the passenger transport industry since the 1920's. The story starts in the township of Crows Nest on the outskirts of Toowoomba where Bill Dunn operated a service from Crows Nest into the township of Toowoomba. After moving to the seaside town of Lota they began operating the Blue and White Bus Service running from Lota to the Norman Park Ferry . On the opening of the Story Bridge the service was extended to the Fortitude Valley direct to McWhirters, making Dunn's the first private bus company to cross the Story Bridge. In 1949 Bills son Norman started his own business called Dunn's Charter Buses and later operated the Rochedale Bus Service running from Rochedale to the City with routes known as the Rochedale Rocket, City Link as well as the Koala, Platypus and Wombat.
In the 1980's Phil and Carol started organising tours and after the passing of Phil's father in 2000 Phil purchased his own vehicles and equipment and found a property to operate his business as a third generation owned and operated business such as the generations before him. The Blue and White Bus Service was a father and son operation as well as Dunn's Charter Buses, and Rochedale Bus service and to this day Phil Dunn's Tours is still family owned and operated by Phil, Carol and Bradley Dunn and is a true family owned and operated business.
As Phil has grown up in the industry he has seen many changes in his time but his main priority remains the same and that is to listen to each customer as he understands that every customer have their own specific requirements which is part of the reason why we have many happy customers who keep returning for our services. Phil and his family work closely with their staff to ensure that they understand what is required of them before the start of their shift.
